Coc Rapid Rehousing (RRH)/ Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP)
The Coc Rapid Rehousing (RRH) program and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP) programs aid homeless youth by offering rental assistance and case management to locate, secure, and maintain housing. The basic requirements for both programs are:
1. Meet the HUD definition for literal homelessness
2. Head of household aged 18-24
3. Household income of 50% of AMI or less

To access either program, start by contacting the Region 5 coordinated entry provider at: (208) 254-0290. When you call, you’ll be prompted to leave your name and contact information. They’ll follow up and schedule an assessment. After the assessment, you’ll be placed on the waiting lists for the housing programs for which you’re eligible based on the score from your assessment. When an opening occurs, the access point will reach out to confirm you’re still eligible and interested and then will send a referral to the RRH or YHDP programs. Once we have that referral, we will make contact and schedule the intake process.
