Katie has worked at MK Place for seven years, supporting adolescents and their families. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Community and Public Health with an emphasis in addictions. She practices from a trauma-informed, person-centered framework, incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in both individual and group settings.
Katie facilitates CBT and Seeking Safety groups and is especially passionate about working with teens experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. She’s currently training alongside her dog, Leo, as they work toward a therapy dog certification to further support youth in a safe, engaging therapeutic environment.
