Shantel has been with MK Place since 2015, starting as direct care staff before becoming a case manager and working her way through management positions to become Program Director in 2025. In her 11 years with the program, she’s received extensive training in trauma-informed approaches, motivational interviewing, behavior management, adolescent neurodevelopment, suicide prevention, and de-escalation strategies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Shantel has played a vital role in ensuring MK Place is a safe, peaceful, and structured environment — helping hundreds of at-risk youth break generational cycles of addiction and trauma by showing them they’re more than “bad kids” and have what it takes to build healthier, happier lives.
